One thing a netbook lacks is the staying power when it comes to battery life – good thing there are third party solutions to this problem. The latest of such batteries is the 9-cell 6,600mAh battery for the Acer Aspire One that lasts up to a whopping 9 hours and 40 minutes! Of course, that’s just a figure bandied by the battery manufacturer under a controlled environment (Wi-Fi turned off with minimum load), so in reality with a few applications running in the background complete with Wi-Fi connectivity, you should shave a couple hours or so off the touted amount on the safe side. That’s still plenty long, and should be able to tide you over a trans-Atlantic flight with naps in between. Needless to say, your Acer Aspire One won’t be that sleek looking any more after you install this $144.99 battery.
