The ‘Aeolian Tower’ you see here stands 15 meters high, and it is an illuminated arts projects by Jason Bruges Studio which was rolled out at BFI yesterday. This tower comes covered with 1,200 glowing red Mathmos Wind Lights – these are miniature turbines which illuminate LEDs in the wind. The tower will then visualize the wind dynamically, swirling around the BFI and Waterloo Bridge until this Sunday. For those who love the effect and want to bring home one of these tiny 20cm Wind Lights, you can pick it up in either red or blue for £12 a pop.
