Ingenious Austrian engineers have managed to hook up a heat pump to an exercise bike, where you will be able to keep a can of beer in the copper coil cool the moment you start pedaling. Of course, the effect isn’t instantaneous and you will probably have to break out a real sweat before your taste buds get to enjoy the smoothness of a cold beer, but at least you get to offset some of the effects of getting drunk by keeping your body fit (as fit as a regular drinker can get anyways). Just remember to drink more water each time during the exercise as you wouldn’t want the monster of dehydration to cast a shadow over you.
