
Datawind’s original PocketSurfer did not really take off as intended, since so many other mobile devices these days are able to surf the Internet, hence leaving a dedicated machine like that in the lurch. Well, you know what they say – if at first you don’t succeed, try again! Datawind COO David Elder recently let slip that a bigger and better netbook is on the way, although nary a juicy bit of information more was divulged. We do know that it will be larger than the current palm-fitting range, and will be contract-less, which is good news for folks who are sick and tired being tied down to cell phone contracts, car loans and house mortgages all their life long.
