The iPhone’s camera lens isn’t anything to shout about, so it makes perfect sense for an enterprising user to come up with his own solution – a DIY macro lens for the iPhone. He has apparently used a 50mm lens from an old SLR as an improvised macro lens as long as it is held right in front of the iPhone. Of course, doing that is not good enough, which is why he decided to craft a holster to mount it over the iPhone at all times. Not the prettiest of mods, but hey – at least it is functional.
