Carphone Warehouse has dangled some rather tempting bait in front of ordinary people like you and I, offering free smartphones powered by Windows Mobile 7 as long as you purchase a copy of the Vista-based Windows 7 PC operating system. These bundle boxes will be released in conjunction with the Windows 7 desktop operating system’s launch in the UK, although there is no word on whether any other companies outside of the UK will take a similar route. The bundled smartphones have yet to be confirmed, but hopefully Carphone Warehouse won’t throw in something from 2006 or earlier. You can be sure that queues will definitely form for such an offer.
