HP is currently working on a new convergence device that aims to bring together the virtues of both the digital photo frame and netbook. This new device will most probably use technology from its Mini 1000 netbook, giving evidence that the Intel Atom processor is far from finished at this point in time, and you will be able to show off your photos on a lovely 10″ display with Ubuntu Linux as the operating system of choice. Word has it that HP will charge around $400 for the photo frame, which is the equivalent of the base model HP Mini 1000. Some people speculate that this could come with a remote control, but we think the inclusion of that and a touchscreen display makes a whole lot more sense. What else do you think HP will throw into the mix?
