Just when we thought that pico projectors could not get any smaller, along comes Konica Minolta who are developing one that is so small, you can basically stuff a few down your pocket without worrying about an unsightly bulge. Guess at that size light bulbs and lenses are no longer in the equation as the projector will have to rely on laser beams and vibrating mirrors to throw an image instead. Konica Minolta is targeting a product dimension of 1.6″ x 0.79″ x 0.3″, and is can purportedly display a 20″ XGA color image from 21″ away. This new projector is also projected (no pun intended) to be out on the market within the next couple of years or so.
