
Word has it that Motorola is in the midst of saving its own bacon, and will be able to retain up to $800 million in their coffers after retrenching around 3,000 workers internationally as well as “across all businesses and functions”. Approximately 11% if these layoffs will hail from the struggling handset division. We are wondering whether those engineers who have been reshuffled to work on the Android-based handset will be affected. Well, on the bright side, at least shareholders will be happier that the company isn’t that bloated any more…
