Fuel cell technology is still being explored and has yet to be implemented in mainstream devices, but that does not mean it won’t be anytime soon. In fact, MyFC, a fuel cell company, has already conjured prototypes of fuel cells which run on tiny hydrogen packs and are flexible enough to be folded over surfaces, making the suitable for use even within cell phone cases. Currently, their 1636 chip is able to cram inside a charger-sized enclosure while its FuelCellSticker is as bendable as Gumby. They’re extremely close to production, so do hold your breath and stay tuned.
