
The word on the street is that the Amazon Kindle 2 will come out sometimes in the first quarter of 2009. This first update won’t be as exciting as the second one, slated for the second half of the year: an Amazon Kindle with a larger display. By all accounts, Amazon will keep its wireless delivery system (via Sprint’s EVDO network).
The Kindle 2 rumors started in July and the first picture was “leaked” in October. The bizarre thing is that they have removed the SD slot, which leaves users with 1.5GB of storage. That’s probably enough, but SD cards are so cheap…
