
The new range of MacBook Pros lack a FireWire 400 port, which led to a barrage of criticism as many people still had FireWire 400 devices that could be used. Sonnet decided to take matters into their own hands by releasing its Sonnet Simply Fast dongle that functions with standard 6-pin male FW400 cables. This dongle will retail for less than $15 when purchased online, offering a connectivity solution to the FireWire 400 dilemma on Apple’s recently launched MacBook Pro line.
