Sony recently announced a trio of new Exmor CMOS sensors that come in 5.15, 8.11 and 12.25 megapixels, respectively. Guess the day where 12 megapixel camera phones will roll out isn’t too far away now, thanks to the efforts of Sony. Good luck trying to store all those 12 megapixel photos, as most handsets do come with extremely limited storage space. At what point do you disregard the megapixel count in the cell phone that you intend to purchase? Do you draw the line at 5 megapixels?
