T-Mobile G1 Supports Multitouch Input

iPhone fanboys, beware! Just as how Visual Voicemail will be available in the Android Marketplace later this year, the G1 also supports multitouch support – two features that iPhone advocates have touted over the T-Mobile G1. Blogger RyeBrye managed to cobble together a proof-of-concept video that depicts the G1′s support for multitouch input. While this technology won’t impress iPhone fans and their far more sophisticated multitouch capability, but it is a start that we predict can only get better from here on. RyeBrye is going to leave his source code for others to improve on and refine it, so the G1 community had best close ranks and get cracking if they want their handset to close the gap with the iPhone.
