Those who are looking forward to Toshiba’s Cell-powered TV (yes, the same processor found inside the PS3) will now be able to further plan their budget as pricing details and a release date has been confirmed. Available this December in 42″ and 46″ models, these will retail for £900 and £1,200, respectively. Known as the ZV Series, these new Toshiba TVs are smart enough to upscale virtually anything fed into them, ranging from standard definition DVDs to a Freeview signal or even output from a games console. Guess the Cell processor within would be kept very busy eh, making use of Toshiba’s Resolution+ technology to up the ante when it comes to picture quality. Other features include support for 24p playback from Blu-ray, three HDMI sockets, Component Video, SCART, a PC Input and S-Video.
