Convergence has now arrived in TVs for the living room, and this time round it is the Westinghouse SK-32H570D that comes with an integrated DVD player – sorry folks, this is a far cry compared to Allio’s technological wonder which we covered a couple of days ago.Apart from the mentioned DVD player, features of the SK-32H570D include :-
- Two HDMI inputs
- ATSC/NTSC/ClearQAM tuner with HD programming support
- Supports 720p and 1080i resolutions
- 1366 x 768 pixel display
- 178 degrees viewing angle
- 6.5ms response time (bah!)
- 1,200:1 contrast ratio
At least the automatic brightness adjustment makes it a wee bit more appealing. Can’t really argue with the $579 price tag for a 32″ LCD TV though. Hopefully the upconverting algorithm works fine with most DVDs.
