The upper tier at Asus ain’t too happy about the lack of Eee Box systems moved, and have decided to introduce an Intel Celeron 220 processor in place of the Atom, in addition to upping the ante by replacing the 80GB hard drive with a 120GB model. Despite the improvements (gotta love mass manufacturing), this revised system will sell for a lower price point – approximately $45 less compared to the current Atom-powered model. There is no word on when the Celeron-powered Eee Box will make its way outside of Taiwan, but will the new price point actually move more units?
