Dell OptiPlex 160 Released

Dell has just made available its OptiPlex 160 tower PC for those who find that their desk is way to cluttered to have enough space for a computer. The OptiPlex 160 measures a mere 1.85″ thick (or should we say thin?) and does not lack the usual array of ports with an integrated power supply. The only sacrifice you face would be the lack of a built-in disc drive. Still, for $563, you’ll be able to bring home the following :-

  • Intel Atom processor
  • 80GB hard drive
  • 1GB RAM
  • Integrated video chipset
  • Windows Vista Home Basic

If you want until next year, the OptiPlex 160 will come with a dual-core Atom processor just in case you need more computing power. Those who have a little bit more cash to spare, they can always opt for a 64GB SSD and an external DVD-ROM drive to complete the system.
