There’s no question that having 12+ hours of battery life is a killer feature for a notebook. The Fujitsu Loox R uses an ultra-low voltage 1.2Ghz CPU (Intel) and comes in several models. The Loox R/C70 has a 128GB SSD drive, but 160, 250 and 320GB options are also available if you opt for a mechanical disk. At 2.79lbs, it is extremely light, but unfortunately, it’s price is inverse-proportional to its weight: around $3100.
The physical design is not really sexy by any means and I have a hard time seeing how the Loox R will even remotely compete with the Sony TT, the Macbook Air or the Voodoo Envy 133 (review) - even if the last two ones are larger. Oh and, the 12+ hours of battery life happen only with the bulkier battery… (Fujitsu Japan)
