It is obvious that the Help Lock is one lock that comes in handy should you unfortunately fall down in the bath. The Help Lock doorknob works this way – you need to program in a phone number and timer when you use it for the first time, and when the timer runs out of seconds, the Help Lock will go nuts alerting all and sundry. Not too good if you take longer than usual after eating too much curry in the last meal, but great for older folks who might have accidentally slipped and knocked their noggin’ somewhere, rendering them unconscious. The alarm will sound for half a minute, where it will then call the pre-programmed phone number just in case there is an emergency. Too bad this is but a concept as at press time as it would come in handy in homes.
