HP’s Mini 1000 netbook will be receiving a $359.99 price drop starting from tomorrow onwards (7th December), and that is a $40 discount over its previous price for the basic configuration. Nice to see HP throw in a free memory upgrade to 1GB from 512MB, although you might find the 8GB solid state drive to be rather stifling – best to bring along a portable hard drive with this if you plan to do more than just update your Facebook account and read blogs with the HP Mini 1000. It remains to be seen whether HP will slash the price for its Mini 1000 Vivienne Tam Edition that currently retails from $699.
