Blu-ray technology is catching on, but it sure as heck isn’t moving as fast as its backers wish it could. Medion hopes to speed things up with its Akoya 8610 laptop that will come with the following :-
- Intel Core 2 Duo processor
- 4GB RAM
- 320GB hard drive
- 18.4″ display at 1,680 x 945 resolution
- NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GS graphics card
- Dolby Home Theatre surround sound
Strange to see the display coming at that size and resolution, it means you won’t be able to enjoy Blu-ray to its fullest potential of 1080p. Still, if you’re interested in bringing this home, you will be £799 poorer.
