Microsoft aims to roll out its Windows Vista PRODUCT (RED) edition on Dell computers from December 15th onwards, and as you know, all PRODUCT (RED) purchases will see a donation being made to the fund. Apart from coming in an obvious red package, this Windows Vista edition will feature a bunch of new wallpapers, a screensaver, a couple of sidebar gadgets and a Dreamscene. Amazon is carrying the full Vista PRODUCT (RED) edition for pre-order, retailing for $70 more than the standard Vista Ultimate version at $219.95. Folks who are looking for a cheaper alternative will have to be eligible for Microsoft’s US student-edition, as that upgrade will cost just $64.95.
