Do you cast an envious glance at the Japanese because they are able to make payments with their cell phones? Well, geniuses from Germany, Giesecke and Devrient, have conceived what is touted to be the first contactless smart card in a microSD flash card format in the world. Guess this makes it compatible with just about any handset that supports this memory card format, offering security access and the possibility of contactless cash wallet functionality. The card is powered via Near Field Communication from the reader, so you don’t have to juice up your phone all too often. While it sounds cool, losing one’s phone will definitely add way more stress to the experience than normal.
