Hot off the press – word has it that a PSP2 is already in the works, and the next iteration/refresh of the current PSP will be the last before its successor rolls out. Guess we can all look forward to the PSP-4000, although it would be interesting to see just what kind of modifications that Sony will make before they introduce a new model. Will the PSP2 be backwards compatible? Will it come with a much more user-friendly thumbstick? Will be boast a touchscreen display (or perhaps two)? So many questions gone unanswered, but we ought to know by late next year where the clouds of doubt clear. Would knowing about a new PSP2 put off your decision to purchase a PSP, never mind its current model number?
