SageTV has released a successor to its STX-HD100 HD Media Extender, and this time round the name is much less complicated – it will be called HD Theater (or HD200, if that is your cup of tea). Nice to see SageTV remain level headed by pricing it at a similar point of $199.95, although the HD Theater will come with a smaller footprint this time round to reduce the clutter in your living room. Other features include :-
- Remote control
- USB ports (front and rear)
- Ethernet connectivity
- HDMI, component, S-Video and composite video outputs
- S/PDIF audio port
- Network/local media streaming capabilities
- SageTV Media Center for Windows software bundle
Expect the usual suspects to be supported, including MPEG 1/2/4, H.264, WMV9, VC1, MKV, MOV, AVI, FLV, AAC, MP3, WMA, FLAC and JPEG among others.
