
The Sony P series 8″ wide screen laptop has been spotted on Sony’s website. From a screenshot made by jkontherun, we can see the specifications, which don’t show anything extraordinary except confirm that the display will most likely be awesome, while the performance will be limited to productivity applications.
As for the pricing, the sheer display resolution (1600×768) make me think that you should not expect a $500 or so price for this machine. The second clue is the 128GB SSD option – that alone has to be worth around $400 to $600 at publication time. Again, this is not something that you put into a netbook.
At the moment, we will look at the Vaio P Series as an ultra-portable line. Sony, surprise us with the price…
