Now here’s a solar-powered device that’s easy on the eye – the Sony desk lamp that comes with dye-sensitized solar cells. This Hana-Akari fixture is built from panels that take after the photosynthesis process, making it able to stash away energy in a low-cost, thin membrane that won’t hurt the pockets when it comes to the manufacturing process. There is no word on availability for this eco-friendly Sony product, although we would love to see it hit retail shelves pretty soon.
