
Just to get an idea on how highly rated Sony’s SXRD 4K digital projectors are, they have been selected for the Navy’s advanced Multipurpose Supporting Arms Trainer (MSAT) program at the Naval Air Strike and Air Warfare Center located in Fallon, Nevada USA. This display system will comprise of a trio of 4K projectors (model SRX-S105) that are able to display images at over four times the resolution (4,096 × 2,160) of today’s high-definition television sets (1,920 × 1,080). They’re apparently the only projectors on the market today that are able to churn out 8.8 million pixels of resolution, making them suitable for applications that require the display of content heavy simulations.
