Steampunk Monitor Too Precious To Use

Want to spruce up your desktop with something different? The steampunk monitor you see here will definitely suit the ocassion just fine, thanks to the efforts of Australia-based Mad Uncle Cliff. It uses an LCD panel as its base (but of course), while the mod requires some copper piping, a spray pump and a pair of alien-looking speaker horns. The swing-arm meant for repositioning the display is constructed from an half-inch pipe, while a couple of elbows will let it fold back against the stand when not in use. The tilt is managed via a tiny knob that locks the display in place. Speaker-wise, you get a combination of brass bells, some flyscreen mesh and two 40mm speaker cones. This would go down very well with the steampunk mouse, that’s for sure.
