ViewSonic doesn’t do just LCD monitors, as they have just released their 24″ LCD HDTV known as the VT2430. This scores a first by virtue of being a 24″ widescreen HDTV that boasts full HD resolution. It is pretty pointless if you’re going to use it to just watch HD movies, since the viewing real estate is too small to parade such high resolutions in its full glory, but it is another matter altogether if you’re using the VT2430 as a computer monitor. Features include :-
- 10,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio
- 250 nits of brightness
- Integrated ATSC/NTSC/QAM TV tuner
- HDMI 1.3 (with HDCP), VGA, Component, S-Video, Composite, and TV/cable input
- 1,920 x 1,080 resolution
- 16:9 aspect ratio
Expect to fork out an affordable $399 for the ViewSonic VT2430.
