We always thought that a GPS-equipped iPhone would see very cool software, and Xroad G-Map could remotely be step in that direction. This application lets you download maps and create routes with multiple views (map + multi-lanes street structure). It stores all the information locally on the phone which is great because it fast. I usually dislike GPS software (for phones) that are slow because they try to be “connected”. It’s not like the roads are changing every 12 minutes… However, storage will cost you a bit as it takes about 1GB. Finally, you should know that there is no turn-by-turn direction as per Apple’s wishes.
Now, our friends of Navigadget point out that the reviews aren’t so good: 2-stars for now. What do you think?
