Acer's 8.9

Acer’s 8.9″ Aspire One is a firm favorite for many, but we do not regret to hear news of the Taiwanese company mulling over whether to phase out the 8.9″ model and replace it with the 10.1″ Aspire 103 instead. Apparently this decision will come into effect sometime in the second quarter of the year – at least that’s what notebook industry sources are abuzz with. According to Quanta Computer (they’re the ones responsible for manufacturing the 8.9″ Acer Aspire One netbooks), the company has already received incoming orders for a 10.1″ “enterprise model”. We’re wondering whether this is a different model from the Acer Aspire 103, or could it be the very same one? How many of you are sad to see the 8.9″ Aspire One go?
