Alesis recently paraded its M1Active 520 USB Studio Monitors at Anaheim, California. Specially design for professional studio use, the M1Active comes with an internal digital-audio interface while providing an audio range from 20kHz down to 56Hz. Not only do you benefit from USB playback ability, the speakers are also equipped with a couple of TRS-balanced 1/4-inch inputs which turns them into a computer audio interface. The Alesis M1Active also boasts a bi-amplified design that brings 25W and 50W power to the tweeter and woofer, respectively. It is equipped with a 0.25″ headphone output that will automatically mute the loudspeakers when connected. Expect to see the M1Active 520 USB Studio monitors this summer, and chances are it won’t cost more than $300.
