Asus Fold Unfold Concepts

[CES 2009] When Asus’ engineers aren’t working, they’re smoking on some weed to come up with the next big thing. I’m kidding – they don’t do that, but instead rely on their own creative juices to stumble upon new design ideas that are meant to take the world by storm. The Asus Fold Unfold concepts that you see above (click on the photo gallery for other angles and concepts on display) were conjured by designers from France, Italy and Korea among others, and will be a blueprint towards where future Asus notebooks will head. The Asus Bamboo, for example, was part of this concept train of thought many years ago and has become a reality now. I would think these have an origami slant to it – perhaps flexible displays will be commonplace in the future for such a notebook?
