Haier Ibiza Theatre Portable Media Player

Haier is pretty low key when it comes to portable media players, but that doesn’t mean they have left the Ibiza line alone. The Ibiza Theatre is the first touchscreen player from the company that offers a cheaper alternative compared to Apple’s product line, but it does lack Wi-Fi connectivity that has come to be a given these days. The Ibiza Theatre features the following specifications :-

• 2.4″ 320 x 240 resolution display
• Bluetooth connectivity
• Integrated FM tuner
• microSD memory card slot
• Support for Real’s Rhapsody to Go service
• Audible, MP3 and WMA audio support
• AVI and MPEG-4 video support

Haier did promise a 30-hour battery life, and we would presume that is meant for audio playback only and not video. The Ibiza Theatre will ship this spring in two capacities – 8GB and 16GB, retailing for $110 and $130, respectively. Another model, the Ibiza Trainer, will target fitness buffs as it features a calorie counter, a heart monitor, a pedometer and a stopwatch function.
