HiVision revealed at the recently concluded CES 2009 that they will be expanding their netbook family by another three models that will come in 8″, 8.9″ and 10.2″ screen sizes. Pricing for this range has yet to be determined, but here are the shared specifications for the 8.9″ and 10.2″ models.
- Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz processor
- 1GB RAM
- 120GB (8.9″)/160GB (10.2″) hard drive
- 1,024 x 600 resolution
- WiFi, 3G W-CDMA, CDMA2000, TD-SDCMA, WiMax (optional) connectivity
- 3-cell battery
- 0.3 (8.9″)/1.3 (10.2″) megapixel webcam
All of them will be powered via Windows XP. The 8″ model seems to be underpowered though with a 1GHz PDX-600 processor, 512MB RAM, an 8GB SSD with an 8″ 800 x 480 resolution display. It does maintain similar connectivity options as its larger brethren though, making this more ideal to be a companion to an actual notebook instead.
