When we hear the word Huawei, we tend to think of high speed USB modems, but the company is not content to stick to just one area of expertise, and has decided to expand by working on an Android handset. While we have no clue whatsoever on how their maiden attempt will look like, at least there s a definite date where the Android-powered Huawei phone will be shown off to the world – at MWC 2009 in particular. Huawei claims that this Android-powered smartphone will share the limelight with the “first mobile phone based on one single UMTS chipset”. What do you think Huawei’s design will turn out in the end? Will it be a looker, or is it something you wouldn’t want to be caught dead with in public?
