Lenovo IdeaPad Y650 16-inch, 16:9 Laptop

The IdeaPad Y650 is one of those laptop that could be your “main PC” if you are not the gaming type of user. It’s 16:9 widescreen display should be large enough to be comfortable for the eyes, even after an extended period of use, and given its size, we doubt that you would feel cramped on its keyboard. The main selling point for this laptop is the form-factor: (relatively) thin and light, for its size ( 15 x 10.23 x 1.02″, 5.6Lbs). The Y650 comes with a N1M-GE1/256MB graphics chip from NVIDIA (I think that this is a GeForce 9 Series, most likely a 9600, but I’m not 100% sure), up to 500GB of storage, a recent Core Duo CPU (6MB cache) and a 6-Cell battery rated for 2.5 to 3.5hrs, depending on the graphics usage(discrete or integrated). If you want to, you can upgrade to Blu-Ray, but remember that the display has a native resolution of 1366×768, when compared to Blu-Ray’s 1920×1080 – un upgrade option would be nice. starting at $1199.
