LG canU S1000 Phone Unveiled

LG has finally rolled out another phone from its canU series, this time in the form of the canU S1000. This release comes more than a year after the last canU handset was unveiled, and needless to say, with a forward movement in time, there will be progress in terms of specifications as well. The canU S1000 will boast the following :-

  • 2.8″ AMOLED WQVGA display at 400 x 240 resolution
  • T-DMB support
  • Rotating display (up to 180 degrees)
  • Mobile web and email support
  • Integrated dictionary

Those living outside of South Korea won’t be able to get hold of this, since this 14.1mm thin LG handset is available on an exclusive basis for LG Telecom customers only in violet or silver colors. It would be interesting to see how the screen’s performance compares to regular TFT LCD displays in other handsets.
