LG Moves Over 5 Million Viewty Phones Worldwide

LG is bandying the sales figure of its LG Viewty camera phone worldwide, moving over 5 million units since its release. Out of the 5,000,000 plus handsets, only 350,000 units were shipped in South Korea, while the rest saw the most sales in Europe and Asia. In conjunction with this milestone, LG has decided to introduce new colors to the 5 megapixel Viewty by offering light silver and blue to accompany the rest. LG must surely hope to repeat this success with the KC910 Renoir which will succeed the Viewty in terms of megapixel count at 8, but we will have to wait for some time before the magical 5 million figure mark is met.
