M-Audio’s latest announcement heralds the introduction of the Axiom Pro Series keyboards that target professional musicians. These newest series of USB MIDI keyboard controllers have its predecessor to thank where groundwork is concerned, featuring more enhancements for realistic play and will be available in a trio of key models – 25, 49, and 61. Software integration to digital audio workstations (Pro Tools, Cubase, Logic and Reason for example) has also been included, while M-Audio’s very own HyperControl technology will map keyboard controls to commonly accessed parameters in software instruments automatically. Not only that, users will beneft from a two-way constant link with the host DAW when synchronizing, while toggle capabilities between the mixer and instrumental control modes will go a long way in simplifying the creation process. Compatible with Mac OS X 10.4.9 or later; the Axiom Pro 49 and 61 models will retail for $600 and $700, respectively, while no word has been released concerning the 25 model’s price.
