Microvision will be launching its SHOW MX prototype at Macworld, bringing ultra-thin pocket-sized convenience with the power to project DVD-resolution images up to 100″ across. This tiny plug-and-play pico projector will target those who want to view movies, presentations and photos (among other viewable media material, of course) on-the-go without having to lug around a large and backbreaking projector. SHOW WX will be powered by Microvision’s PicoP display engine technology and will feature the following :-
- Easy setup: Simply plug and play.
- Small and sleek
- Always in focus
- Image sized between 6″ and 100″
- Wide projection angle
- High-resolution (WVGA) and 16:9 format
- Vivid images
The SHOW MX is expected to have a battery life of up to 2 hours, which ought to be enough for most movies. It will enter production in Q2 this year, so hopefully it will be affordable enough for the layman to purchase when available. [Press Release]
