MSI X-Slim 320 is 'Air' thin and cheap

Thin, light and cheap – that’s the future of laptop, or at least a good chunk of them and the MSI X-slim 320 might just be the poster child of the next generation thin laptop. It uses an Atom processor and some people suspect that it might be powered by an NVIDIA chipset as well (NVIDIA’s Ion platform), but that remains to be seen. Here are the highlights, the image above says it all. (link to MSI)

  • 1.6Ghz Atom CPU (Z530)
  • 2GB RAM
  • WIFI-N, wired Ethernet
  • 3x USB
  • 2.86 lbs
  • Release date: Q2 2009, around $800
