
Programmer Luke Hutchison has built a hack for the T-Mobile G1 that adds multitouch and pinch and spread zooming, an acclaimed feature that made the reputation of the iPhone. This is not meant to be a release for the average user, as it involves flashing the firmware, but it is something that the (open source) Android community might be able to build on in the future.
