After someone posted a video on Canon rumors about video recording from any Canon EOS equipped with LiveView, an (off-duty) NVIDIA engineer (Olivier Giroux) took the time to download the Nikon SDk and used his D700 as a very expensive webcam to record video. Obviously, it works but right now, the encoding is close to DVD-quality at best. It’s pretty cool and something like that could even be used – if you are willing to be connected to a computer with a USB cable. What about a CUDA-accelerated version?
