Nokia 1006 Takes Off

[CES 2009] Nokia’s booth at the Digital Experience last night saw a few handsets, and among them are the Nokia 1006 that will further cement the Finnish cell phone manufacturer’s commitment to the North American CDMA market. Asa you can tell, this CDMA device will target AWS carriers and was ergonomically designed to fit the curves of the palm of your hand (as well as those on your face, unless you’re as square-jawed as the Incredible Hulk or have the skin texture of the Thing. Don’t expect high end specifications with this puppy though – you will find this to be a basic entry-level handset that everyone can use, although many of us would prefer something flashier. Features are extremely basic, with a voice memo, speakerphone and 500-entry phonebook, this would make for a good present for grandparents who have yet to own a cell phone. The Nokia 1006 will be out in silver and blue colors.
