Nokia Stops N810 WiMAX Edition Internet Tablet Production

Barely a year into its life, Nokia has ceased production of its N810 WiMAX Edition Internet Tablet. That’s hardly surprising, although it would be a sad day for the team that worked on it to see their efforts being halted. While you can always pick one up online (or even choose the original N810), the WiMAX version is more or less dead and buried now. There is no official reason disclosed for its discontinuation, but count the number of WiMAX-enabled cities and you can pretty much come to your own conclusion. A product that is too far ahead of its time, or one that is ultimately doomed for failure no matter when it is released?
