Thse regulations are aimed at imposing energy standards on TVs from 2011 onwards and are expected to pass sometime in the middle of this year, although one can expect opposition from the industry itself. That ought to go some way in helping people purchase power efficient TVs instead of picking up energy guzzling ones. OLED TVs will definitely be the winner here as these are extremely efficient when they become affordable enough for the man on Main Street to pick one up.
