Having a top of the line camcorder is great, but if your ultimate goal is to produce web videos, it might be overkill, and therefor over-expensive. The SMX-F34 has been designed for web video (YouTube). Samsung gives it a battery life of 3 hours and believes that the 16GB of internal memory should be able to store 8 hours of H.264 (compressed) video. And if that’s not enough, it is still possible to add an SDHC card! Finally, videos can be captured in a resolution that an exact match with YouTube’s requirements. Now, that might not avoid a recompression from the web service, but at least, the size will be optimum.
